My realtor already has a mortgage guy. Should I use them?

So it would make sense that your real estate agent wants nothing more than to have your transaction go as smooth as possible. For this reason, many agents will recommend several preferred lenders to their clients, and there's nothing wrong with this. My personal business is dependent on realtor and customer referrals. This being said, I do suggest you follow the golden rule of trust, but verify.
So, ask the realtor why they recommended a certain lender. Google that specific lender and see what other customers have to say about their service. And lastly, don't make a final decision until you feel like the lender you choose understands you and your specific needs.
